Parks Master Plan

Schooner Creek Discovery Park (SCDP)

The first new park in over 20 years is coming to Lincoln City!

The new Schooner Creek Discovery Park is located at 4815 SE 51st Street, Lincoln City, OR 97367.

The development and construction of the new Schooner Creek Discovery Park is stated as the #1 goal of the 2016 Lincoln City Parks System Plan, and will address a recreation gap in the southern part in the City.

Playground—SCDP Phase 1

As of Fall 2024, we are in Phase 1 of the multi Phased Park Project. Phase 1 construction broke ground on June 20th, with a well-attended Groundbreaking Celebration. Phase 1 is expected to complete by Dec 14, 2024, with a ribbon cutting ceremony. The 1st new inclusive and accessible playground on the Oregon Coast will now be open to the public.

Event Stage and Lawn- SCDP Phase 2

As of Fall 2024, Phase 2 design is in process for the special event stage, lawn area, promenade, public restrooms, and entry plaza. Construction is planned for completion in Fall 2025.

Regatta Park Sandcastle Replacement

Lincoln City Parks & Recreation (LCP&R) is excited to announce a public input process for the new Sandcastle Playground to be built in Regatta Park. This launches the development planning (and conceptual design!) of a new ADA compliant playground in Regatta Park.

LCP&R held a public Open House on Sat, May 25th at the current Sandcastle Playground location in Regatta Park, 2700 NE 14th St in Lincoln City. Many people came to the event, sharing their memories and their wants and needs for the new playground. As of Fall 2024, playground design is being completed utilizing the public input received. Multi-sports courts & fields- SCDP Phase 3

Phase 3 design will start in Fall of 2025, with construction planned for completion by Fall 2026. Phase 3 amenities include a covered multi-sports court, permanent pickleball courts, turfed multi-sports field, and walking paths.

Public Restroom Upgrades

The NW 17th public restroom is being updated to be more accessible and inclusive
