Swimming Lessons

Swim Lessons

Our swimming lessons program is designed for participants ages 3 and up. Registrations are sorted among levels based on ability. Then classes are further split among instructors based on current skills. For any questions please see the aquatics manager or contact us below.

Swim Instructor Teaching Swim Lessons

Level 1

This introductory class is designed for the nervous swimmer or very beginner. We will work on submersions and back floats while assisting the participant to feel comfortable and safe in the water. The foundation of gliding/streamlining will be introduced. Front and back floats will be practiced and we will build the foundation of skills needed to swim. The use of positive reinforcement is critical to help the participant build trust and confidence while still having fun in the pool.

Kids Receiving Swim Lessons

Level 3

This Intermediate class is designed for swimmers comfortable moving in the water. They should be starting to swim independently and comfortable floating and rolling over from front and back floats. We will be working on the introduction of breaststroke and refining the front and back crawl. Gliding/streamlining will be practiced and implemented with swimming. The use of repetition and stroke critiquing is critical to help the participant build strength and refine skills.
