Walks in the Park

Be a park expert! Join the Lincoln City Parks and Recreation Maintenance Crew for FREE monthly Walks in the Park.

 

Parks experts will talk about history, flora and fauna, and offer a glimpse into the ‘behind the scenes’ work that goes into maintaining parks and open spaces.

Bird Watching Walks

Explore our Parks and Open Spaces

with experts at Bird Walks, hosted in partnership with the 7 Capes Bird Alliance, Explore Lincoln City, and LC Parks & Recreation. Please come learn with us for FREE! Each walk begins at 9am with a brief introduction, followed by a 2-hour guided walk. Binoculars are provided and children are welcome.

Trail Challenge

Hike All 8 of Lincoln City's Trails! Find the signs along each trail that say "Lincoln City Trail Challenge". Take a selfie with the sign to prove you found it. Post your photos on our Facebook event page or Instagram with the tag #LCTrailChallenge. Photos can also be emailed to recinfo@lincolncity.org.

Lincoln City Nature Explorers

Lincoln City Nature Explorers is a family program that provides access, learning, and connection to our Parks and Open Spaces. Activities include interpretive hikes, field trips, and resources like trail maps. 

Join the fun by picking up your own Nature Explorers Activity Booklet to complete with your child/family. Prizes available for those who complete it and take the pledge!

Get your Activity Booklet at the Community Center during regular hours or download below.

  1. Download the Open Space Trail maps & Activity Booklet here or pick them up at the Lincoln City Community Center (2150 NE Oar Place, Lincoln City, OR)

  2. Visit all eight (8) Open Space Trails

  3. Complete the Activity Booklet

  4. Bring your completed Activity Booklet to the Community Center during regular hours, take the pledge, and get a Nature Explorers Patch.
